oh, the things we used to play using hay bales. . .We usually had a hay loft full of square bales, so we could play all year long. BTW, city kids get bored; farm kids get worked.

I think the girls who steal snacks should be put into solitary confinement!
Good for you for rescuing her from the tortures of teenage girls!
And haybales…much more fun. They could care less about snacks. Just happy to have some company. tee hee

You have forgotten, dear. Concentrate hard and at least one pack leader from our school will materalize out of the mists of time.

I’m sorry she didn’t give the church camp a better chance. I understand her reticence and tween angstiness following the 4-H camp experience, but that crap doesn’t go unnoticed or unpunished at beautiful Camp Crescendo. We’re (Lions) mean like that. Plus, O Mother of the Year, you actually braved Pine Tavern Road twice in the same week to dispatch and retrieve her. You deserve a medal and a large, alcohol-laden reward.

Incidentally, have you seen the girls’ bathrooms since we renovated them last summer? Italian tile, all new plumbing, new vanities…MUCH nicer than what I have at home!

Heck yeah! Was there ever any question about which was more fun? Don’t get me wrong, camp is fun, but climbing on hay bales?… Sooo much MORE fun!

Airedale Girl,
Yes it was the CP church camp but that was not where the problem was. She went to 4H camp a couple weeks ago and was terrorized the whole week. Her counselor was a high school student who did nothing about the bullying. It has ruined the whole camp experience for her which is so sad because last year she had a great time at church camp.
Girls are mean. I don’t remember them being this cruel when I was that age but maybe I have forgotten.
Makes me want to pinch their heads off and flush them down the toilet.
